Slewing Bearing: These bearings are often used but not limited to heavy machinery and offer a smooth, stable, lateral rotational movement. They are incredibly strong and are capable of carrying high loads.
Slewing rings provide very reliable rotational options where precision is a requirement.
Used to rotate cranes, excavator cabs or even massive satellite dishes slewing bearings provide rotational and tilting functions with high degrees of precision and repetition.
Often referred to as Slewing Rings or Slewing Bearings they are ideally suited to heavy equipment where high loads are present at high or low rotational speeds or are equally well suited in lower loaded applications. Bolt Tightening
On Installation please follow these guidelines:
1. Use a torque wrench or a hydraulic preloading tool.
2. Use only bolts with shanks for installation (no set screws).
3. Use bolts, nuts and plain washers.
4. Do not re-use bolts, nuts and washers.
5. Check the tightening torque of the bolts after every 600 working hours.


Tightening sequence:
We recommend to tighten the bolts in three steps, 1st at 305 torque, 2nd 70% and 3rd 100% of below torque values. Check the rotation of the bearing during the tightening sequence to be sure it does not bind. If problems occur, dismount clean the area of any debris and start again. A clean work area will produce best results.
